Maverick Vinales Juarai MotoGP Qatar 2021

QATAR – Fantastis. Perburuan para pemenang dalam MotoGP Qatar 2021 akhirnya usai dan keberuntungan berada pada Maverick Vinales. Ia berhasil memenangkan  MotoGP Qatar 2021 setelah mengalahkan Johann Zarco di Sirkuit Losail, Qatar, Senin dini hari (29/03/2021) WIB.

Bagi Ducati memang sirkuit Losail merupakan trek favoritnya. Terbukti di start MotoGP Qatar, empat pembalap Ducati, Francesco ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Johann Zarco, dan Jorge Martin langsung memimpin balapan.

Namun, Martin meraih start paling bagus. Pembalap rookie itu langsung berada di posisi empat pada tikungan pertama meski start dari posisi 14. Nasib sial dialami pembalap Tech3 KTM Danilo Petrucci yang mengalami kecelakaan di lap pertama.

Berikutnya, Zarco sukses melewati Miller untuk berada di posisi kedua pada lap kedua. Duo Yamaha Fabio Quartararo dan Maverick Vinales mulai menyerang di lap ketiga, setelah keduanya menyalip Martin.

Cilakanya, Valentino Rossi kesulitan pada lap keempat dan disalip duo Suzuki Alex Rins dan Joan Mir hingga berada di posisi sembilan. Hasil lebih buruk didapat Franco Morbidelli yang terpuruk di posisi 20 pada awal balapan.

Quartararo naik ke posisi tiga setelah menyalip Miller pada lap keenam. Pada titik ini, Miller mulai tertinggal dari dua Ducati di depan dan justru mendapat ancaman dari Vinales. Miller akhirnya juga disalip Vinales di lap ke-8.

Vinales yang terlihat menjadi pembalap Yamaha tercepat hingga pertengahan MotoGP Qatar sukses menyalip Quartararo di posisi ketiga pada awal lap ke-11. Satu lap kemudian Vinales naik ke posisi dua melewati Zarco.

Memasuki lap ke-12, Rossi semakin terpuruk dengan berada di posisi 16 setelah disalip Enea Bastianini, Stefan Bradl, dan Alex Marquez. Setelah menguntit Bagnaia sepanjang dua lap, Vinales akhirnya menyalip pembalap asal Italia itu pada lap ke-15 untuk memimpin balapan.

Vinales mulai menjauh memasuki lap ke-17 dengan keunggulan 0,6 detik atas Zarco, yang sukses melewati Bagnaia pada lap ke-16. Vinales unggul 1,6 detik atas Zarco empat lap kemudian.

Juara bertahan Joan Mir tampil luar biasa di balapan pertama ini. Start dari posisi 10, pembalap Suzuki itu sukses menyalip Bagnaia di lap ke-20 untuk berada di posisi ketiga.

Akhirnya, Vinales meraih kemenangan di MotoGP Qatar 2021 usai mengalahkan Zarco dan Bagnaia. Nasib kurang beruntung ada pada Mir yang meraih hasil mengenaskan di balapan MotoGP Qatar. Mir sempat berada di posisi kedua memasuki tikungan terakhir sebelum finis. Namun, Mir sedikit melebar dan disalip Zarco dan Bagnaia di trek lurus sebelum finish. Mir pun kehilangan finis podium MotoGP Qatar 2021.(****)
