Menko PMK Muhadjjir Effendy Hadiri Dies Natalies ke-40 UWK Surabaya

SURABAYA – Rapat terbuka senat dan upacara Dies Natalis ke-40 Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya (UWKS) di hadiri Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy, Senin (21/06/2021). Kegiatan yang dipusatkan di Bangsal Pancasila Kampus UWKS tersebut dihadiri dekan, dosen, dan mahasiswa berprestasi secara protokoler kesehatan (prokes) ketat.

Rektor UWKS Prof H Sri Harmadji mengatakan, masa Pandemi Covid-19 diakuinya mempengaruhi pelaksanaan layanan pendidikan di kampus UWKS. Karena itu, pihaknya mengambil langkah-langkah dalam melaksanakan proses perkuliahan.

“UWKS akhirnya berani mengambil berbagai langkah, di antaranya pembelajaran maksimal empat kali tatap muka hingga akhir semester 2019/2020. Selain itu menerapkan bimtek (bimbingan teknis) elearning khusus,” jelas Harmadji.

Selain itu, lanjut Harmadji, UWKS menerapkan pedoman pembelajaran 2020/2021, menyesuaikan dengan tatanan kenormalan baru dengan menjaga prokes, mulai memakai masker, mencuci tangan pakai sabun dan menjaga jarak, bagi seluruh dosen dan karyawan serta mahasiswa di setiap kegiatan kampus.

Dalam kondisi pandemi, usaha keras seluruh civitas akademika UWKS mampu meraih berbagai prestasi. Misal, dalam memajukan mutu perguruan tinggi, UWKS menduduki peringkat 10 besar di Jawa Timur dan peringkat 72 secara nasional.

Kampus ini juga meraih berbagai prestasi. Di antaranya, dua alumni yang meraih gelar profesor, mahasiswa yang proposalnya didanai Direktorat Belmawa. Berikutnya, beasiswa pemerintah dan swasta juga banyak diterima para mahasiswa UWKS.

“Ada 88 mahasiswa menerima beasiswa KIP kuliah Kemendikbud, 596 mahasiswa menerima bantuan UKT SPP dan 66 mahasiswa menerima beasiswa CSR. Di samping 55 mahasiswa berprestasi yang bebas bayar SPP serta 4 mahasiswa penerima beasiswa dari lembaga internasional,” katanya.

Ketua Yayasan UWKS, Drs Soejadmiko mengaku kehadiran Menko Muhajir merupakan suatu kehormatan bagi UWKS yang terus mencetak generasi unggul dan berkontribusi dalam pembangunan manusia selaras dengan kebijakan-kebijakan Menko Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan Indonesia Muhajir Effendy.

Soejadmiko menyebut, dalam rangkaian Dies Natalis ke-40, Yayasan Wijaya Kusuma berencana membangun Wijaya Kusuma Mart, meresmikan air mineral Wijaya, meresmikan UWKS TV, dan menanam porang di lahan 6000 meter persegi.

Ketua Pembina Yayasan Wijaya Kusuma, Prof dr HR Soedarso Djojonegoro menambahkan, Dies Natalis UWKS ke-40 ini merupakan perwujudan dari motto UWKS yang anggung, wimbuh, linuwih. Artinya, selalu tumbuh dan berkembang menjadi lebih baik.

Selain mengucapkan selamat Dies Natalis UWKS ke-40, Menko PMK Muhadjir Effendy berharap UWKS mampu melahirkan angkatan kerja di masa Indonesia Emas 2045. “Dalam usianya 40 tahun, kan sudah melahirkan alumni yang banyak dan handal. Wijaya Kusuma dalam hal itu sudah jelas ya, bidang studi lain sejak awal berdirinya di sektor kesehatan. Disiplin ilmu UWK saya kira pilihan sangat strategis khususnya di sektor kesehatan,” papar Muhadjir.

Muhadjir juga menyinggung persiapan Tahun 2045, di mana pemerintah tengah mengintervensi masa 1000 pertama kehidupan. “Mereka yang ada di PAUD baru lahir itu akan menjadi sumber daya manusia produktif di Tahun 2045. Kami akan menyisir mulai dari sumber awal kehidupan sampai ke-SMK, perguruan tinggi ada intervensi setiap etapenya, dari setiap intervensi ada yang diprioritaskan,” katanya.(****)
