Mita Saputri, Dapat Beasiswa untuk Kuliah Sarjana dan Pascasarjana

YOGYAKARTA – Kuliah merupakan impian hampir setiap lulusan sekolah menengah atas. Namun banyak yang merasa terkendala untuk menempuh jenjang pendidikan tinggi ini seperti permasalahan ekonomi atau kesulitan menembus seleksi masuk perguruan tinggi.

Salah satunya Mita Saputri. Alumni SMAN 1 Rowokele Banyumas ini sempat ragu melanjutkan pendidikan tinggi selepas SMA, mengingat kondisi ekonomi keluarganya yang pas-pasan. Anak kedua pasangan Turmudi, buruh tani dan Siti Fatimah, seorang penjahit ini mencoba meyakinkan kedua orangtuanya agar diizinkan melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi.

“Awalnya orang tua shock akan keinginan saya itu. Karena hanya seorang buruh dan penjahit. Bagi mereka berat untuk menyekolahkan anaknya di jenjang kuliah. Biaya kuliah, biaya pendidikan, buku, dan juga living cost tentu sangat mahal untuk orang kecil seperti kami,” ungkap Mita, Rabu (06/04/2022).

Keberuntungan masih berpihak pada Mita. Guru Bimbingan Konseling SMAN 1 Rowokele Rumiyani S.Pd memberi informasi berharga soal beasiswa bidikmisi di mana biaya kuliah ditanggung negara dan juga diberi biaya hidup. Mita kembali mencoba meyakinkan orang tuanya.

“Saya masih merasa ragu awalnya, karena belum ada kepastian diterima atau tidaknya. Saya mulai yakin saat ada tetangga kami yang diterima di UNY (Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, red) melalui bidikmisi yaitu Enggista Hendriko Delano di Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan,” ungkap Turmudi, ayah Mita.

Akhirnya Turmudi mengizinkan Mita menempuh pendidikan tinggi. Perjuangan Mita menembus perguruan tinggi juga tidak mudah. Warga Desa Jatijajar, Kecamatan Ayah, Kabupaten Kebumen tersebut lulus SMA pada tahun 2017. Karena kendala ekonomi, baru mendaftar perguruan tinggi pada tahun 2018.

Lulusan yang masuk the best five paralel jurusan IPA di SMAN 1 Rowokele itu mengisi waktunya dengan membantu berjualan di kantin SMP Negeri 1 Ayah dari pukul 06.00 WIB hingga 14.00 WIB. Di sela-sela membantu berjualan, pada waktu senggang, Mita belajar soal-soal seleksi Bersama masuk perguruan tinggi negeri (SBMPTN).

“Setiap membantu berjualan, saya membawa ransel besar berisi dua buku King SBMPTN,” jelas Mita.

Ikhtiar belajar SBMPTN diimbangi berdoa, salat Tahajud pada malam hari, serta salat Dhuha setiap waktu senggang di kantin.

Usahanya membuahkan hasil. Tahun 2018, Mita berhasil lolos jalur SBMPTN di UNY pada prodi impiannya, yakni Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni. Sebagai pelamar beasiswa bidikmisi, Mita shock saat namanya tidak tercantum dalam penerima beasiswa pada Oktober 2018 karena ada pengurangan kuota bidikmisi disebabkan bencana gempa Palu. Beruntung, Mita lolos juga mendapatkan beasiswa bidikmisi, setelah ada pengumuman tambahan pada Januari 2019.

Selama kuliah, Mita aktif mengikuti berbagai kegiatan. Seperti Panitia Bulan Bahasa, PKKMB, hingga menjadi Top 5 Duta Kampus UNY 2019. Mita juga aktif sebagai tentor privat untuk pembelajaran Calistung TK, dan mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia bagi SMP dan SMA.

“Saya lakukan setelah selesai kuliah dan pada hari libur untuk menambah uang saku sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan mengajar,” imbuhnya.

Bahkan, Mita sempat bekerja di salah satu toko parfum untuk menambah uang sakunya. Gadis kelahiran Kebumen 05 April 1999 ini lulus dengan predikat Cumlaude ber-IPK 3,68 dengan masa studi hanya 3 tahun 4 bulan dan diwisuda pada Februari 2022.

Kemudian, Mita melanjutkan pendidikan magister di UNY pada program Intake, di mana kuliah dimulai pada Februari 2022. Jurusan yang diambilnya pun linear dengan S1-nya, yaitu Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia. Sebelum studi lanjut S2, Mita mengaku sempat tertarik dengan salah satu beasiswa LPDP.

Namun karena pelaksanaan tes LPDP yang lama mengurungkan niat dirinya ikut mendaftarkan. Mita memilih menjadi Student Employee sebagai Staff Tata Usaha FBS UNY sekaligus menjadi tentor Calistung dan mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang digelutinya sejak kuliah S1. Mita juga memiliki usaha kecil-kecilan berjualan jilbab, baju, dan mukena.

“Saya masih belum cakap dan telaten dalam menjalani bisnis, tetapi saya akan berusaha semaksimal yang saya mampu,” katanya.

Ia berpesan bagi calon mahasiswa yang bernasib sepertinya agar tidak takut bermimpi.

“Jangan takut kuliah apalagi terkait biaya.  Karena segala sesuatu tergantung niatnya. Selama niat kita baik, tidak mungkin akan dipersulit. Dan yang paling penting, memperbesar aksi dan memperkecil gengsi,” tutupnya.(****)
