YOGYAKARTA – Mandiri Jogja Marathon (MJM) 2023, ajang lari tahunan yang paling ditunggu bakal menghadirkan perjalanan baru tahun ini. Dipastikan lebih meriah dari tahun sebelumnya, acara maraton skala internasional yang banyak disebut Mandiri Jogmar kali ini akan digelar di Yogyakarta dengan peserta mencapai 8.000 orang dari berbagai wilayah.
Ajang yang mempertandingkan empat kategori yakni Marathon (42.195 Km), Half Marathon (21 Km), serta 10 Km dan 5 Km (Fun Run) ini digelar di jantung pariwisata Yogyakarta yakni kawasan Prambanan pada 18 Juni 2023. Perhelatan yang telah digelar sejak 2017 ini juga menjadi wujud komitmen Bank Mandiri untuk memperkenalkan keunikan dan keberagaman pariwisata di Indonesia, khususnya Yogyakarta.
Tak hanya itu, kegiatan yang dihelat secara tahunan oleh Bank Mandiri ini turut menjadi upaya untuk menggairahkan kembali budaya hidup sehat. Sekaligus menjadi momentum bagi perseroan untuk menyukseskan prinsip environmental, social and governance (ESG) yang tengah digalakkan oleh Bank Mandiri.
Sebagai event yang menerapkan zero waste to landfill Bank Mandiri turut menggandeng beberapa pihak dan perusahaan pengelola sampah, untuk memilah serta mendaur ulang sampah organik maupun non organik guna memberikan manfaat yang positif bagi lingkungan. Hal ini merupakan wujud konsistensi Bank Mandiri dalam mencapai pengurangan emisi karbon serta mendukung pertumbuhan yang berkelanjutan.
Tidak cuma itu, VP Corporate Communication Bank Mandiri Ricky Andriano menjelaskan, seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya Bank Mandiri juga bekerja sama dengan Pemerintah Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) untuk mengangkat kekayaan budaya dan produk lokal. Selain membudayakan gaya hidup sehat, Ricky menambahkan Mandiri Jogja Marathon juga punya misi untuk memacu pengembangan pariwisata dan perekonomian di Yogyakarta dan sekitarnya, termasuk pada sektor Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM).
“Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2023 seperti bertahun-tahun sebelumnya, diharapkan dapat menjadi katalis pendorong pertumbuhan pariwisata di Indonesia, khususnya Yogyakarta, serta menggerakan perekonomian secara maksimal. Kami berharap hal ini dapat menjadi pemicu yang positif bagi ekonomi di dalam negeri,” ujar Ricky dalam Konferensi Pers Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2023 di Yogyakarta, Kamis (15/6/2023).
Apalagi, dari 8.000 peserta yang akan berlomba marathon tahun ini sebagian besar merupakan para pelari lintas generasi dari wilayah Jabodetabek dan kota-kota besar di Indonesia. Termasuk, beberapa pelari beragam negara seperti Kenya, Jepang, Australia, United Kingdom, Belgia, Malaysia, dan negara-negara lainnya.
Hal ini lanjut Ricky, akan memberikan warna tersendiri bagi perhelatan MJM 2023 yang jarang ditemui di event serupa lainnya.
“Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2023 kali ini juga mengembangkan rangkaian kegiatan yang melibatkan komunitas pelari nasional dan internasional dengan memberikan pengalaman yang memuaskan bagi seluruh peserta,” imbuhnya.
Sebagai upaya mengoptimalkan hal tersebut, event ini juga menggandeng instansi lokal mulai dari Pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman, Kepolisian Daerah Yogyakarta serta PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan dan Ratu Boko. Ricky menjelaskan, kolaborasi ini menjadi kunci penting untuk mendukung kelancaran acara, termasuk pengaturan lalu lintas sehingga tetap menjaga aktivitas masyarakat di sekitar rute lari peserta.
Pun, untuk memperkuat keamanan serta kenyamanan peserta MJM 2023, Bank Mandiri juga menggandeng PT AXA Mandiri Financial Services (AMFS) untuk memberikan perlindungan asuransi kecelakaan diri. Manfaat proteksi asuransi tersebut merupakan wujud dari fokus Mandiri Group dalam memberikan kenyamanan dan rasa aman bagi masyarakat.
Antara lain berupa manfaat perlindungan senilai Rp 160 miliar kepada 8.000 peserta serta manfaat penggantian biaya perawatan medis apabila terjadi risiko selama Mandiri Jogja Marathon 2023 berlangsung. Melalui pemberian perlindungan kepada peserta, Bank Mandiri berharap seluruh peserta akan fokus untuk memberikan yang terbaik karena terlindungi dari risiko kecelakaan.
“Komitmen dukungan Mandiri Group diberikan sebagai bentuk kepercayaan kami kepada peserta serta seluruh pemangku kepentingan yang terlibat, termasuk Pemerintah Provinsi DIY guna menghasilkan acara olahraga terbaik dan aman,” tambah Ricky.
Wujud Kepedulian Lingkungan dan UMKM
Tak berhenti di situ, sebagai konsistensi dalam menggelorakan semangat pembangunan berkelanjutan. Bank Mandiri juga melakukan perbaikan dan renovasi di beberapa titik yang menjadi rute yang akan dilalui peserta MJM 2023, mulai dari rute Fun Run (5 Km) hingga rute Marathon (42 Km).
“Hal ini yang menjadi bentuk konsistensi kami, sejak digelar tahun 2017 silam Bank Mandiri secara aktif melakukan Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) secara aktif, terutama dari sisi perbaikan jalan yang menjadi rute para peserta,” ungkapnya.
Pejabat (Pj) Walikota Yogyakarta Singgih Raharjo yang sebelumnya menjabat sebagai Kepala Dinas Pariwisata (Dinpar) DIY mengungkapkan, untuk menarik minat wisata pihaknya juga telah melibatkan sejumlah pedagang UMKM lokal untuk ikut serta meramaikan ajang perlombaan maraton ini.
“Kami tidak hanya ingin melibatkan peserta, tetapi juga ingin memperkenalkan kembali kearifan lokal dan budaya Yogyakarta kepada para wisatawan, penonton, dan pihak-pihak lainnya agar ikut serta dalam memeriahkan Mandiri Jogja Marathon tahun ini,” terangnya.
Singgih juga menambahkan, Pemerintah Provinsi DIY dan Bank Mandiri juga menggandeng kolaborasi dengan berbagai elemen masyarakat, termasuk sekolah, sanggar komunitas seni, dan UMKM untuk berperan aktif. Antara lain, ikon MJM berupa penampilan seni dari Punakawan, Rama & Sinta dan Rahwana & Hanoman.
Bukan hanya itu, masyarakat dan para peserta juga bisa mencicipi wisata kuliner ala Yogyakarta yang tersedia di Race Village yang dapat dinikmati setelah lelah berlari.
Untuk mempermudah transaksi, Bank Mandiri pun telah menyediakan jaringan pembayaran non-tunai untuk memudahkan transaksi. Hal ini juga merupakan upaya Bank Mandiri untuk meningkatkan literasi dan inklusi keuangan masyarakat.
