YOGYAKARTA – Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) terpilih menjadi salah satu lokasi penyelenggaraan Lokakarya “Cara Baru untuk Belajar” dari Google for Education di The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center, Senin (20/11/2023). Melalui agenda tersebut, Google memperkenalkan serangkaian alat dan layanan Google yang disesuaikan bagi sekolah dan bisa digunakan untuk berkolaborasi, menyederhanakan instruksi, dan menjaga pembelajaran tetap aman.

Selain itu, dalam workshop ini juga dikenalkan Chromebook. Yakni, jenis komputer yang dirancang membantu mempermudah kegiatan belajar dan mengajar.

“Saya mengapresiasi terselenggaranya kegiatan ini sebagai upaya mendorong optimalisasi pemanfaatan teknologi pendidikan, khususnya perangkat Chromebook dan Akun Pembelajaran nasional belajar.id, dengan melibatkan para pejabat daerah, dinas pendidikan kota/kabupaten, serta pengawas sekolah, kepala sekolah, dan guru,” ungkap Gubernur DIY Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.

Sri Sultan menjelaskan, jika peningkatan mutu pendidikan masih menjadi salah satu program prioritas. DIY berfokus pada penggunaan teknologi untuk mendukung kemajuan pendidikan serta penerapan inovasi dalam pendidikan. Dalam hal penggunaan teknologi, sejak 2006, DIY meletakkan fondasi pengembangan TIK melalui program Digital Government Services (DGS).

Kemudian, dilanjutkan dengan Jogja Smart Province Fase I (2019-2023) yang menghasilkan berbagai inovasi teknologi di aspek struktur, suprastruktur, dan infrastruktur. Ke depan, pengembangan Jogja Smart Province ini juga mendukung upaya memajukan sektor pendidikan di DIY.

Pemda DIY melakukan berbagai inovasi pendidikan yang memanfaatkan teknologi, bekerja sama dengan Kementerian Pendidikan Kebudayaan Riset dan Teknologi, (Kemendikbudristek) Direktorat Jenderal PAUD DASMEN. Inovasi tersebut meliputi pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) dalam pembelajaran, pengembangan aplikasi dan media pembelajaran berbasis TIK, pemanfaatan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas guru, serta pemanfaatan teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan pendidikan.

“Kami juga bekerja sama dalam pemanfaatan PMM (platform Merdeka Mengajar), kegiatan dalam Sekolah penggerak, Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di wilayah DIY, dan pemanfaatan Platform infrastruktur dari Google for Education yaitu dalam utilisasi akun guru dan akun siswa dalam domain pendidikan belajar.id. Selain itu, melalui Balai Teknologi Komunikasi Pendidikan Dikpora DIY, kami juga mengembangkan Jogja Belajar Class (JB Class) dengan sasaran pendidik dan peserta didik untuk jenjang pendidikan dasar dan menengah,” papar Sri Sultan.

Sementara itu, Country Lead Google for Education Indonesia Olivia Husli Basrin mengatakan, tujuan dari kegiatan workshop tersebut adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana caranya teknologi yang dikembangkan Google bisa membantu memperluas pembelajaran bagi sebanyak-banyaknya siswa-siswi di sluruh Indonesia. Google membantu mengembangkan perangkat pendidikan yang dikenal dengan Chromebook yang aman digunakan dengan lisensi yang memungkinkan untuk dikendalikan oleh satu pihak.

“Saat ini, sudah ada sekitar 1,5 juta Chromebook yang dibagikan bagi siswa dan guru se-Indonesia oleh Kemendikbudristek dan setiap Chromebook dikendalikan oleh Pusdatin Kemendikbud RI. Jadi semua aktivitas yang dilakukan siswa dan guru bisa dikendalikan dan dimonitor,” ungkap Olivia.

Saat ini, Kemendikbud RI memberikan bantuan Chromebook melalui dana APBN dan DAK TIK kepada 707 sekolah di DIY sejumlah 11.618 buah. Bantuan ini bertujuan meningkatkan mutu proses pembelajaran. Harapannya, Chromebook dan perangkat yang dikembangkan Google dalam Google for Education bisa memaksimalkan proses pembelajaran dan tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi siswa, tapi juga para guru dalam mengajar dan meningkatkan kemampuan mengajar.(****)
