Mahasiswa Sosiologi Universitas Widya Mataram Yogyakarta Siapkan Diri Jadi Sosioprener
YOGYAKARTA – Sosioprener (sociopreneur) bisa menjadi masa depan mahasiswa sosiologi. Alasannya, bisnis tersebut memadukan pencapaian keuntungan finansial dan multiefek sosial bagi kesejahteraan orang banyak.
Dosen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Widya Mataram (UWM) Yogyakarta Antonius Satria Hadi PhD menyatakan, kalangan mahasiswa yang menekuni ilmu sosial sangat relevan mendalami dan mempraktikkan bisnis yang memadukan orientasi keuntungan finansial dan efek sosial tersebut.
Lebih lanjut, Doktor lulusan University of Kuala Lumpur ini menambahkan, kewirausahaan dalam era digital menekankan sudut pandang yang baru, yang didasarkan pada pola pikir positif atau positive mental attitude.
Menurutnya, sosioprener bisa mulai dengan menggalakkan kemampuan untuk melahirkan sesuatu yang baru. Baik berupa gagasan maupun karya nyata, yang relatif berbeda dengan apa yang telah ada sebelumnya
Kemudian, mereka memadukan sudut pandang yang baru dan kombinasi pemikiran baru (perspektif). Pemasaran produk misalnya, strategi pemasaran online perlu diprioritaskan, selain menerapkan pemasaran offline.
“Sosioprener bisa menghadirkan barang atau jasa yang sebelumnya sama sekali belum ada untuk dipergunakan,” tegas pria yang menjabat sebagai Direktur Kantor Urusan Internasional UWM Yogyakarta tersebut.
Ditambahkan, pijakan berpikir sosioprener bisa berangkat dari dua aspek. Yaitu, bisnis dari hobi atau bisnis untuk memberi solusi.
Sementara itu, Manager JazziePro Yogyakarta Alexander John Hartarto menceritakan pengalaman wirausaha. Awal merintis karir, Alex bekerja di beberapa perusahaan dan pindah-pindah kota. Ketika mengalami jenuh dengan pekerjaannya, terdapat keinginan untuk bekerja secara mandiri.
“Awalnya bingung, bagaimana mulai wirausaha, dari mana mulai, dan bagaimana modalnya,” imbuh Alex.
Pada saatnya menemukan jenis usahanya, memproduksi alat musik pukul berupa kajon, dan memasarkan produk alat musik pabrikan, Alex mengaku usahanya tidak otomatis mendatangkan untung. Keuntungan diperoleh melalui proses manajemen yang sistematis.
“Kami mulai dengan branding produk sendiri di media sosial, mendapat respons dari konsumen, dan strategi ini dijalankan secara konsisten dan berlanjut,” kata Alex mengungkapkan rahasianya.
Pada perjalanannya bisnis alat musik berhasil, dipadukan dengan persewaan sound system. “Kalian sebagai mahasiswa bisa mulai mencari referensi usaha apa yang bisa dijalankan, kemudian apa yang dibutuhkan oleh orang lain. Ketika ketemu apa yang bisa dijadikan usaha, mulai saja jangan takut, dan jangan ragu,” pesannya.
Pandangan tersebut disampaikan di depan mahasiswa Program Studi (Prodi) Sosiologi Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik UWM pada acara “Workshop Kewirausahaan dan Pemasaran Online Sebagai Profesi Masa Depan Lulusan Sosiologi,” di Kampus UWM Yogyakarta, beberapa waktu lalu (16/5/2024). Para peserta mahasiswa peserta matakuliah kewirausahaan dan peminat lainnya dari Prodi Sosiologi. Pelaksana kegiatan Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan (HMJ) Sosiologi dengan pembicara Antonius Satria Hadi PhD, Alexander John Hartarto, dan Dekan Fisipol UWM Yogyakarta Dr. Martadani Noor, MA.
Ketua Prodi Sosiologi Fisipol UWM Yogyakarta Dr. Mukhijab MA menyatakan, workshop kewirausahaan bagi mahasiswa sosiologi ini bagian dari usaha Prodi Sosiologi Fisipol UWM Yogyakarta membekali ketrampilan lunak (soft skill) bagi mahasiswa. Dengan usaha demikian, para lulusan sosiologi bisa leluasa untuk merintis karir usai mereka lulus kuliah.
“Mereka bisa menyiapkan karir wirausaha sosial atau sosialprener misalnya, yang berkaitan erat dengan matakuliah sosiologi,” katanya.
Dari workshop tersebut, para mahasiswa mendapat tugas untuk membuat prototip usaha yang ingin mereka rintis. (****)
